What the key tasks will look like
We’re looking for a Junior Business Intelligence Analyst who is eager to learn, curious about data, and motivated to support our business with clear, actionable insights. As part of a hybrid team of data experts (data scientists and Bi analysts), you will contribute to meaningful projects while developing your technical and analytical skills.
As a Junior BI Analyst, you will:
- Support the design, development and maintenance of Business Intelligence reports and dashboards that drive business value.
- Help collect, prepare and structure data from internal and external sources.
- Contribute to improving BI documentation and data quality.
- Assist in the adoption of analytics and data-driven culture across the organization.
- Explore new BI features, tools, and good practices, including the responsible use of AI in BI, and help identify opportunities to apply them within DKV.
- Collaborate closely with business teams to understand their needs and translate them into clear reporting and analytics solutions.
You will not be expected to master everything on day one. This role is designed for learning and growth, supported by our experienced team.
Required skills and competencies
Background and personal skills
- You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field (BI, Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, AI, …). Up to 2 years of experience is welcome, but motivation and learning mindset matter most.
- You have a good command of English and Dutch. Knowledge of French is an asset, and you are able to communicate clearly to non-technical audiences.
- You have an analytical mindset and enjoy solving problems using data.
- You are structured, detail-oriented and committed to quality.
- You can work independently while seeking guidance when needed, and you enjoy collaborating with both business and IT stakeholders.
- You are eager to learn how DKV works and how data can make a difference in supporting our mission.
- You can work responsibly with sensitive data and understand the importance of frameworks such as GDPR and the EU AI Act.
Technical Skills
We do not expect you to be an expert yet, but you should bring a good foundation and strong willingness to grow:
- Intermediate knowledge of Power BI, SQL, DAX and data modeling (mandatory).
- Strong exposure to ETL concept and data preparation
- Some experience, even academic, with Python, Git is a plus.
- Curiosity about predictive analytics, AI and generative AI applied to BI is highly appreciated.
